Sales vs. Profit

“If there are no sales, there will be no profit.” –Darnyelle Jervey Harmon

I get asked this question all the time: What’s more important: sales or profit?

The truth is, they are both important.

While profit is how we keep score in business, if there are no sales there will be no profit – let me say that again for the people in the back – if there are no sales, there will be no profit. It’s a big part of the reason why I see business owner after business owner build a business that doesn’t serve them – and they end up working way too hard for way too little. It doesn’t have to be that way.

In this episode, I share three ways focusing more on sales than profit will impact your business’ growth. Listen in to discover:

  • The real reason why 90% of small business owners don’t make more than $100,000 a year
  • What it really takes to profit in your business
  • Why the way you look at sales maybe what’s keeping your business from profitability

Powerful Quotes From the Episode

“You should profit on every transaction.”

When you underestimate the importance of profit, your sales management system will fail you.”
